The tour of the Renaissance Halls takes you through the main rooms that were reconstructed by Zacharias of Hradec between 1553-1558. The tour of the suite of the last owners shows you the rooms that were used here until 1945. The tour of the castle cellars and underground takes you into the basement of the building.
Prague is great but there are definitely other places in the Czech Republic worth visiting. We always recommend Brno for its cafes and laid back atmosphere, the Moravian wine country, incl. Mikulov, its historic capital, for great wines and beautiful scenery, Kutná Hora for gothic architecture, modern art and, ok, the Bone Chapel, and the
Other things available are Pilsner Urquell and Staropramen. We drank in various places over the weekend and visited numerous clubs while we were there. If you visit brno - go to El sombreros and another club called Mandarin. Brno is not as big a tourist attraction as Prague and this shows in the price of everything there.
There are more places worth visiting but these are just the ones that came off the top of my head. The big music festival Colours of Ostrava will take place between the 18th and 21st July. The whole Dolní Vítkovice area will be very busy and full of people, so don't visit Ostrava then, if you want to actually enjoy its signature landmark.
